My fitness journey started in 1996 when I quit smoking. I changed my lifestyle and became more active. I joined a gym and fell in love with kickboxing. Before I knew it, I was teaching kickboxing and sharing my love for physical fitness.
In 2001 I got my Personal Training certification and in 2003 acquired my Group Fitness certificate. I’ve been sharing my passion for health and fitness ever since and have taught a variety of classes including boot camps, HIIT training, Tread N Shed, TRX, and my favorite, Mat Pilates.
I reconnected with yoga in 2015 and found the benefits of hot yoga helped to increase flexibility while maintaining strength. I completed my YRT200 yoga certification in June 2023 and have turned my focus to Yoga and Mat Pilates classes.
Accomplishments include completing 2 half marathons, many 5K and 10K races. I took fourth place in the 2007 INBF (International Natural Body Building Federation) Cardinal Classic and placed fifth in the 2011 INBF Tri-State body building competitions.
